My fitness journey started in: Feb 2009 after a trip to Vegas and a couple of days of overindulgence. When I realized that I was one pound away from 300lbs I knew that I had to do something to change. A friend was doing well on her weight loss journey and I decided to join the gym and workout with her. There was a weight loss challenge there and I signed up.

What role does my personal trainer play in my life: Huge support system. Leah has a vast knowledge of nutrition and exercise. Having Leah makes me more accountable and I am able to stay on track with the different goals. I would be lost and off track without her guidance.

One thing I have learned that is very important from my Personal Trainer is: Diet is 80%. Exercise is 20%

One of the biggest challenges in my life has been: Believing that I had the strength to change

Health Tip: It’s never too late to start. Making a small change adds up over time. Take baby steps until you have the confidence and determination to go further.
